Our Connection ~ Street Library ~ June 2024
A Beautiful Orange design painted and created for KindiKids Centre 3 and their Street Library.
Painted, Glossed & Varnished on Metal.
The Street Library design, for the Edensor Park service, centres around the Gymea Lily, the totem of the area it resides in. Four interconnected goannas, protectors of the land, encircle and safeguard the lily, emphasising respect for the land's rich history upon which the service stands. The lily itself symbolises unwavering faith and a source of life that deserves protection. Boomerangs, incorporated along the design's outer edge, symbolise the service’s location on Boomerang Road. Baby feet, spiralling outwards from each corner, represent the blossoming friendships of the children at Kindikids and the importance of fostering connections that build a strong community from a young age.
I am very proud of this artwork and for being a part of the Kindikids family and journey. It always brings me joy when I create something that is meaningful to the community, to our history and our stories.
This work is present at Centre 3, 33 Boomerang Rd, Edensor Park NSW 2176.
